Ted Safranco is the man behind the Trader's Domain Ponzi scheme, despite initially being perceived as an experienced and credible Wall Street trader.
00:00
Victims believed Ted Safranco was an experienced and respected trader with international connections.
However, investigations revealed that Ted Safranco actually started in 2016 as a student of a 23-year-old Instagram "get rich quick" guru named Nino Koroff.
Ted Safranco's real past contradicted his initial image, as he did not work on Wall Street and had a different background.
The video exposes a scam involving a brokerage firm that switches people from A-book to B-book, allowing them to manipulate trades and potentially scam their clients.
03:22
The scammers described themselves as an A-book brokerage, which means the orders are direct to the market.
In reality, they were a B-book brokerage, where the broker takes the opposite side of the trade, benefiting when clients lose money.
The scammers had the ability to manipulate trades and erase them by refreshing the servers, raising suspicions about their honesty.
The invoices found suggest that the trades and returns were likely fake, and the money invested in the scam had to go somewhere.
06:49
Beta broker may have facilitated the scam for a monthly fee of $1000.
Over $100 million was invested based on the CFTC's estimate, but it could be significantly more.
CCAP Holdings received a significant amount of the investment money.
An anonymous source provided 2000+ files and documents on Trader's domain, revealing potential money laundering and fake invoices.
Victims of the scam were instructed to wire money to a US-based bank with a generic memo, and fake money would be credited to their Trader's domain account before the actual money was received.
10:13
Traders domain would credit victims' accounts with fake money before they even sent any money.
The real money was believed to be sent offshore through a money laundering operation.
Invoices showed money being sent from onshore banks to suspicious offshore shell companies.
One of the shell companies, Discover Tour Plus, claimed to be a travel agency but had no actual booking options on their website.
Traders Domain circumvented regulations by allowing US clients to sign up as "crypto users" and not US citizens, resulting in a $500 million estimate of money invested in the scam.
13:39
Traders Domain claimed not to solicit US clients but offered crypto accounts as a backdoor option.
People were able to select their country as "country of crypto" to sign up.
Payment processors complained about Traders Domain being a Ponzi scheme and traced over $500 million in cryptocurrency and US currency going into Traders Domain.

00:00today we're uncovering a 500 million
00:02dollar Ponzi scheme called Trader's
00:03domain in part one we exposed a web of
00:06scammers we found an ongoing government
00:08investigation but as I spoke to victims
00:10I realized there was someone behind the
00:13curtains controlling it all
00:15and that's when I find out there's this
00:17one guy named dead who's making all the
00:19trades and he's running this Ponzi
00:21scheme we now learn of this Savant that
00:24is The Man Behind Traders domain and so
00:28this is the first time I ever hear the
00:30name Ted safranco and I'm like who the
00:32freak is Ted who's Ted that is the
00:36multi-million dollar question and I
00:38decided the best place to look for
00:39answers was starting with the victims
00:42welcome to part two my understanding of
00:45who Ted sofranco was at the time I
00:47invested was an experienced uh Trader
00:50he's a Master Trader with relationships
00:53like this all over the world and he was
00:54internationally known and respected very
00:57credible Wall Street Trader I know
01:00that's bad to you know judge a book I
01:02was covered like judge a book off of
01:04their cover but you know you just look
01:06like you know like a normal guy like a
01:08Wall Street Trader you know he like he
01:10didn't seem like the type of guy that
01:12would mess you over
01:14but looking into his real past
01:16everything showed the opposite he didn't
01:18work on Wall Street he got to start in
01:202016 when he was the student of a 23
01:23year old get rich quick Guru on
01:25Instagram named Nino koroff we know this
01:28because of a testimonial he filmed hi
01:30everyone my name is Ted I've been
01:32working around right now with Nino for
01:34probably about six months really what I
01:37did is for 2016 what I tried to do is I
01:40really wanted to set myself up nice
01:42being a little bit older I've been
01:44working for many years now almost 15
01:45years I wanted to have a lifestyle
01:47change I wanted to get into something
01:49different to give myself a better
01:51opportunity in life and literally I went
01:54through social media I found you know on
01:57Instagram I saw a laughed actually
01:58because I saw him with his Lambo and all
02:00his fun stuff and me being as old as I
02:03am now I mean you know 37 years old 36
02:06years old I couldn't really fathom how
02:08somebody was doing what they were doing
02:10at such a young age wow the answer of
02:13course to Ted's question is is that nino
02:15was scamming people with get rich quick
02:17courses and Ted soon figured this out he
02:19started his own grift called the Forex
02:22family course which eventually led to
02:24the launch of his very own Forex
02:25brokerage called Trader's domain Ted
02:28said that it would be non-manipulated as
02:31opposed to most of the scammy brokerages
02:33of the time and with his business
02:35partner David negus they opened their
02:38doors in 2018. I found this out because
02:41I talked to the roommate at the time who
02:43witnessed everything so my name is
02:46Jonathan sametta I was roommates with
02:49David negus at the start of 2018 pretty
02:53much for the whole duration of the year
02:55and I witnessed the Inception of Traders
02:59domain from the beginning it was
03:01basically a run out of the spare bedroom
03:03of our house that's right we have an
03:05eyewitness who saw the beginning of this
03:07and what he told me is that Trader's
03:09domain was originally selling themselves
03:11as one of the good guys Forex has a lot
03:14of
03:15in the industry I'm sure a lot of people
03:17are aware of that and there's a lot of
03:19Brokers that have bad reputations you
03:22know with doing Shady dealings Ted and
03:25Dave started this operation under the
03:28premise of the good guy in honesty and
03:31being for the little guy sort of thing
03:33someone you could trust which everybody
03:35bought the Ted did have a a good
03:39reputation in the community the way they
03:41did this was they described themselves
03:43as an a-book brokerage which I didn't
03:47really understand at the time but
03:48basically means they were one of the
03:50legitimate ones can you just explain
03:52really briefly what the difference
03:53between a buck and bbook are so a book
03:56your orders are direct to the market and
03:59B book basically the broker takes the
04:02opposite side of your trade so when you
04:04lose money they win because most most
04:07Traders lose so a lot of a lot of a lot
04:09of work to just go people because they
04:11make money off the trainer they're not
04:12you're not your mark your orders aren't
04:13actually going to the market it's just
04:16the broker basically Shannon you okay to
04:19summarize what he said real quick
04:20because it's important Forex Brokers
04:23which are a book it just means that your
04:25trades are real be booking is when the
04:27trades are kept in-house and things can
04:29be faked they can be messed with and
04:32this is why Ted said that his brokerage
04:34was able he couldn't scam you and he
04:36claimed this repeatedly but the question
04:39is is that true with stories of changing
04:42trades I wasn't so sure and then all of
04:45a sudden
04:46everything magically got erased and they
04:49said oh the server is refreshed we had
04:52to refresh the servers like that somehow
04:55changed all the trades right and not
04:57only were the stories Shady when I asked
05:00the roommate about it he told me about a
05:02very strange conversation he overheard I
05:05was in my room one day and I overheard a
05:08conversation and I thought I caught
05:11something about B booking switching
05:13people from a book to bbook and so I
05:15asked Dave about it and he blatantly
05:17said to me he's like he's like yeah he's
05:20like if people are going to be losing we
05:22might as well be both we're just leaving
05:23money on the table it was kind of a
05:25shock to me because that's you know kind
05:27of went against everything that they had
05:29sort of built this platform on so I just
05:32didn't didn't really know how to take
05:33that but I just took it for what it was
05:34wow if this is true this means their
05:38whole story is fake
05:40claiming this is a pretty huge
05:42accusation and I didn't want to do it on
05:45the word of just one person because it
05:47would mean that everything was built on
05:49lies and fraud so I wanted more proof so
05:52to do this I set up a Discord channel to
05:54investigate Trader's domain and invited
05:56all the victims to come share with me
05:58what they had found and soon many of
06:00them started sharing evidence including
06:02a document which they said would prove
06:05that they were be booking these people
06:07showed me an invoice from a platform
06:08called B2 broker addressed to Traders
06:11domain FX which had a very important
06:14line item quote minimum monthly payment
06:17for the use of B book service why would
06:20Trader's domain need to pay for a B book
06:22service if they were a book now of
06:25course we also need to talk about who is
06:27B to broker they call themselves a white
06:30label solution for brokerages and
06:33exchanges which simply means they sell a
06:35brokerage product that you can slap your
06:36name on and it appears that this is
06:38exactly what tetsufranco did which means
06:41that the back end of Trader's domain and
06:44what Ted is even selling is just a
06:46rebranded product so we'll put feed a
06:49broker on the board over here because
06:52they're going to be key to understanding
06:54this whole scam because as I found more
06:57of these invoices I realized beta broker
07:00may have helped facilitate this whole
07:02thing all apparently for the low low
07:05price of a thousand dollars a month for
07:08this fee now what these several invoices
07:10do is not only corroborate the story The
07:13Roommate was telling us about be booking
07:15it means that the trades and the crazy
07:17returns are all likely fake it was all a
07:21fraud based on a software Ted himself
07:24never even built and of course now the
07:26question is okay if the trades are fake
07:29where did the money go because the
07:33investment money was very much real even
07:36if the trades were fake we know for a
07:38fact that over a hundred million dollars
07:41was invested based on the cftc's
07:43estimate but based on what I have I
07:46think it's significantly more either way
07:48we're talking about an extremely large
07:51amount of cash so it had to go somewhere
07:55I mean we know from our first episode
07:57that a lot of it went to this company
07:59called CCAP Holdings but what happened
08:01after that as I began to ask myself this
08:04question I was contacted by an anonymous
08:07source who found out that I was
08:08investigating as I said I had made it
08:10public at that point and they told me
08:13they had a friend who might know
08:15something more something that could
08:17quote show B book activities money
08:19laundering and fake invoices they asked
08:22if I was interested of course I was and
08:24when this friend got in touch they
08:27claimed to have literally 2 000 plus
08:29files and documents on Trader's domain I
08:33was a little skeptical at first but when
08:35the files showed up even I was surprised
08:44[Music]
08:47it took me weeks to go through all the
08:49documents
08:51but eventually
08:54the pattern started to emerge
08:57[Music]
09:09the more I pulled on the threads the
09:13more I realized
09:14this was all connected
09:19all right I think I get it I think I
09:23understand how Traders domain took in
09:25money if you look at our old
09:27understanding of the company we had the
09:30basics but we're missing several things
09:33okay it starts with the sponsors they
09:36were micro celebrities or influential
09:39people who were paid very well to bring
09:41in investors money and the more you
09:44brought in the more you were paid which
09:45was actually explained to me by a
09:48sponsor who had 10 million dollars
09:50underneath him so you've got 10 million
09:52under you that's locked up how many does
09:55the guy above you have he won't even
09:58tell me but Millions he was getting like
10:00probably half a million a month just in
10:03payouts a lot I was doing well out there
10:05I was getting paid about 20 30 000 a
10:07month all right so these sponsors would
10:09get a cut of the money that they brought
10:11in which meant that they went out and
10:13flexed on social media to bring in more
10:16clients some bragged about Yachts some
10:18invited people to to DM them for 10
10:21percent monthly Roi deals either way
10:23once the victims were on the hook they
10:25would be instructed to go one of two
10:28payment routes the first option was Cash
10:30they would wire money to a us-based bank
10:33like CCAP Holdings with a generic memo
10:36that said services and definitely not
10:39Forex or Investments because that would
10:41trigger red flags and once word went out
10:44that the wire had been sent before the
10:46money even got their Traders domain
10:47would immediately credit them on the
10:49back end with fake money which we know
10:52from interviews I did he would credit my
10:55account with them ever having any money
10:57before I ever gave them money you know
10:59what I mean so the numbers were there
11:00before you ever got before I ever paid
11:03for anything so that day I get a
11:05Trader's domain confirmation and it
11:07shows up in my Trader's domain half a
11:09million dollars sitting in my account
11:10the next day Chase calls me and they go
11:14home we just want to verify this as you
11:16and I'm like oh you haven't released the
11:18wire oh oh my God so they had accredited
11:21your account before the money had ever
11:23hit yeah before the money had ever hit
11:25all right but if the money on Trader's
11:27domain was fake where did the real money
11:30go well I believe they had a money
11:32laundering operation to get the money
11:34offshore this is based on a series of
11:37invoices I was given showing money being
11:39sent from onshore Banks head to Franco
11:43David negus 10 Tran controlled like say
11:45capital and then they would send that to
11:48Offshore companies shell companies which
11:51were very suspicious for example we
11:54found invoices sending a hundred
11:56thousand dollars to a company called
11:57safe seal technology
12:00why in another one they sent a million
12:03dollars to discover tour plus now this
12:07one in particular had a website and if
12:09you go to discover tourplus.com they
12:12claim to be a travel agency but there's
12:15nothing to actually buy I tried booking
12:18my own vacation which I desperately need
12:21at this point because I'm way too deep
12:23in this investigation but none of the
12:25links would let me book so this website
12:28appears to just be a front for funneling
12:31millions of dollars offshore besides who
12:33even pays a million dollars to a travel
12:36agency if you're a Forex Investment
12:38Company especially does that multiple
12:41times of course the alternate
12:43explanation is that the reason you might
12:45send money from a shell company in the
12:48U.S to an offshore shell company is to
12:51launder that money because then you can
12:52now declare that million dollars the
12:55travel agency took in the result of a
12:58bustling business instead of fraud
13:00now that's my theory but we have dozens
13:04of these invoices which seem to confirm
13:06it and you might expect that this was
13:09the main way Trader's domain moved large
13:12chunks of cash but you'd be wrong
13:15because in 2023 laundering money through
13:18banks is like communicating with smoke
13:21signals instead of text messages no the
13:24real way to launder money has changed
13:26today it's crypto so this brings us to
13:30option two of how to move money crypto
13:34is the main way Trader's domain moved
13:37money it was perfect for them and it was
13:39the main way they circumvented
13:40regulation recall at the beginning of
13:43this show I told you that offshore
13:45companies couldn't solicit U.S investors
13:47but Traders domain told people that up
13:51front they said quote Trader's domain
13:53does not solicit U.S clients however
13:55they would claim underneath that quote
13:58just a note we have crypto accounts
14:00available which is sort of like saying
14:03hey we don't let in U.S clients through
14:05the front door but just a note we have a
14:08back door because when you went to their
14:10website to sign up I kid you not as
14:13country of origin you could select your
14:16country as the country of crypto which
14:20unsurprisingly some people actually did
14:23uh one of the early things that felt
14:26weird to me is that you couldn't
14:27register as a US citizen on his website
14:30side it was crypto you had to go and has
14:33a crypto user I can still show you on my
14:35account where I'm listed as a crypto
14:37user and not a US citizen that is
14:41clearly a
14:42but the reason it matters is not that
14:45they circumvented regulation people do
14:48that all the time it's the scale this
14:50was all happening on this wasn't a few
14:52dollars this is hundreds of millions I
14:55mean a single one of their payment
14:57processors in crypto complained in a
15:00recent lawsuit that the founder believed
15:02that quote the Trader's domain is
15:04clearly a Ponzi scheme they have moved
15:06over 50 million dollars in
15:07cryptocurrency and U.S currency directly
15:09to the Trader's domain systems not only
15:13that a different payment processor also
15:15had their transaction data with Traders
15:17domain leaked to us with the help of a
15:20blockchain intelligence company called
15:22Crystal blockchain we traced even more
15:25money that had come in according to them
15:27roughly 450 million went into Traders
15:31domain and that combined with the 50
15:33million from that other crypto payment
15:35processor is where we arrive to our 500
15:38million dollar estimate now bear in mind
15:40this is just crypto this is not talk
15:42talking about Fiat here and this is real
15:45money that went in not fake Ponzi games
15:48and at this point in the investigation
15:51I'm feeling pretty confident we have two
15:53really big things the first is that the
15:55scale of this thing is huge probably
15:58bigger than even the government believes
16:00it is but I also feel extremely
16:02confident we have proof of Fraud and the
16:05only thing left to do is confront the
16:08man behind it all Ted safranco
16:11and this is also the thing that I've
16:13been putting off doing the whole time to
16:15be honest because the entire
16:17investigation as I spoke to people I was
16:20warned not to reach out because Ted was
16:23well known for going after anyone who
16:26went after his brokerage he allegedly
16:29said things like quote you want to come
16:32after my brokerage you have a death wish
16:33in messages and I am going to put a
16:36bounty on your head
16:38there were a lot more of these and of
16:40course he also famously threatened
16:42people on video I take a flight to the
16:46UK right now and just show up and curb
16:48stomp their heads yeah I get arrested so
16:51what I win because they're dead so yeah
16:55the guy is kind of a psycho so I was
16:58very nervous about doing this and so I
17:01decided to go to the bar and get me a
17:03little bit of liquid courage
17:05come on coffee you've been sitting here
17:08for two hours are you gonna do it or not
17:10give me give me this one more shot okay
17:12and then I'll do it
17:23here goes nothing
17:29come on Ted
17:31I bet you he's not even gonna answer
17:34the come on
17:38to an automatic voice message
17:42I knew it and that settles that
17:46you want another drink
17:48I guess so
17:49you humans are such odd creatures you
17:52were nervous about calling yet you seem
17:54upset he didn't answer I was concerned I
17:57mean but once I was committed I I don't
18:00know it just feels a little
18:01anti-climactic I guess maybe it's for
18:03the best not everything has a Hollywood
18:05ending
18:07you do the best you can and sometimes
18:10you have to enjoy a consolation prize
18:11what's that how about a drink with a
18:14friend wait I thought you couldn't drink
18:16take the shot coffee all right
18:19I've been watching you high
18:25I just closed my eyes
18:28I've known for a while
18:30[Music]
18:32my dear if you keep pulling that bread
18:37[Music]
18:54uh hello
18:57before we continue obviously I've spoken
19:00to my Council we we know about your
19:02YouTube channel now we reviewed it I
19:04mean there's really nothing of substance
19:06on there to be honest I think it's more
19:07of a glorified click bait Channel I'm in
19:10chats right now on telegram he's still
19:13in there actively saying that he's
19:14trading you can think anything you want
19:16you can turn around and say that I am
19:21that is such a chicken response from a
19:24total coward no accountability at all
19:31nobody knows anything about his wife
19:33because they don't have the resources
19:34that I have my resources can find out
19:37every little thing about you
19:41you will see the amount of Destruction I
