00:00Is Remotasks really an easy way to earn by
training AI or is it a waste of time? My name is
00:06Mikael and many of my viewers have asked for
an updated Remotasks review answer tool. So I
00:11decided to record this video where I'll give you
an inside look. I'll show all the pros and the cons
00:15because let me just reveal right away that Remotasks
is potentially a way to earn by training Ai
00:21and doing all the tasks online. But that does not
necessarily mean it is the right opportunity for
00:27you. I'll show everything in this video, so you
can easily find out if you should join or not.
00:38So let's start by going over who can join Remotasks
because on the website they do have a list of
00:43the countries it's available in. They say it's
available in more than 90 countries and I can
00:47just scroll through the list so you can now
see exactly which countries it is that it's
00:52available in. But I also want to say that the
country that I'm actually currently located is
00:57in is not on this list but I could still join
and do tasks here. So it seems that the list is
01:02not completely updated so the only way to really
know for sure if it's available in your country or
01:07not is to actually go and join sign up and see if
you can register and find out that way if you can
01:14earn or not. But let me now log in and then we can
talk more about what you will actually be doing,
01:18so you can find out if it's even worth trying
to register. So if you see how they describe it
01:25themselves before I show you the actual tasks
so you understand a little bit more. You can see
01:30that they have tasks here where you can help us
build AI like artificial intelligence services and
01:35products. For example self-driving cars, drones,
delivery robots, and planes. And you do this by
01:40doing small tasks where you help to train this AI.
It sounds very complicated and sophisticated and
01:45all that but it's actually not. It is something
you can do even as a complete beginner without
01:49any experiences but it is not for everyone. Let
me just reveal that right away. Some people just
01:55don't find it interesting and others they don't
feel that they pay well enough. But we'll go over
01:59the exact earning potential and all that later.
Let's first show you some examples of what does
02:05it actually mean to do these tasks. So I
have now logged into Remotasks and once you
02:12log in, the first place to start is to go to this
training tab where you then after that will find
02:17the actual paid tasks is on the dashboard. But the
training is necessary for you to understand how
02:22it actually works. Because you can see all these
different types of jobs, they have where you can
02:28like image annotation image segmentation there,
video annotation, transcription, and more of them
02:34would become available once you start doing tasks
and once you start completing different trainings.
02:39And this is necessary before you can get access
to the paid tasks. This is important to understand
02:43that the training is not paid. But it is necessary
for you to actually get access to more paid tasks.
02:50And if I just show you here to start task just you
can get an idea where it is. You see, I have chosen
02:56this was language there to details that's the one
that I have available there. There's also one more
03:01available now but if you just choose this one here
then it will load a task, so we can see exactly
03:07what we need to be doing. But then sometimes you
see then there is an error. So then you need to go
03:13to the training center which was actually where I
was just at, to get access to these tasks or to do
03:19the training. So then sometimes it takes you a
little bit around circles. That's just, you know,
03:24that's unfortunate but that's how it is. There are
some bugs like that in my experience anyways. But
03:29I'll just try to find the actual training task
so you can see a little bit more about what it is.
03:34So I'm now back in the training center and it's
basically just because I had chosen over here.
03:39But I need to choose one of these different ones
and there's also certification exams here. So you
03:44just need to try to click until you find they
actually uh real trainings there you can do. But
03:50if I for example click here this one, then you can
see there are some courses to unlock tasks in this
03:56particular project. So then, I need to here try to
click to start this one and that's then a course
04:02where it describes exactly what I need to do. And
you need to read these instructions carefully and
04:08you can see there is quite a lot to read here. So
it explains exactly what you need to do for this
04:14particular one and it would take some time, as you
can see here, to to do. If you've done similar tasks
04:20before, it would be easy for you to understand.
But if not, you actually need to sit and go
04:24through this, so you have an understanding of what
it is and then you need to continue. I'm not going
04:29to do that here now because I know you'll probably
find it boring. But this is for example, you can see
04:34here, where you need to label where's the
logo there or and then mark it. Basically
04:40drawing lines here on on your computer screen
there. So this is what this particular task is
04:45about and that's just to give you an example I
would then have to go through all this and and
04:49pass it to get access to the actual paid tasks.
So it does require quite a bit of effort before
04:55you get access to the paid tasks and I have also
found some bugs in some of the training I've gone
05:01through which can be a little bit frustrating. So
that's just something you need to be aware of. If
05:05that happens, you can reach out to the support and
let them know about it. Just be aware that once
05:09you join, it's not super fast to start earning.
It will take some patience and of course we'll
05:13also go over the earning potential, so we can see if
it's worth this patience. But let's also talk about
05:18another way to get training you can get access
to in here to get access to even more paid tasks.
05:24So Remotasks also has what they call a boot
camp. And this is a 10-day program that teaches
05:32you everything so you can become very successful
remotasker as they reclaim themselves. But this
05:39again it's a 10 day of course. It's not 10 8 hours
a day days or something like that, but you need to
05:44spend 10 days where you will learn everything.
You can see you can get access to live sessions
05:48on techniques tips and tricks and training from
a certified trainer and mentor, all these things
05:53to get successful. But this is also not paid, that's
very important to understand. And when they will be
05:59available you can see this also varies every week
depending on which task groups are in high demand
06:04and all this. So this is something you can see
inside the platform when they are available. You
06:08can also go to the help section read about The
Bootcamp and there are some links for this and
06:12then you can register them. But I would suggest you
first try some of the other smaller trainings from
06:17some of the paid tasks to find out if you really
like this. If you do, then completing this bootcamp
06:22can help you earn more. But in my opinion, it's
not a good use of time to start with a bootcamp
06:29and spend 10 days and then maybe you'll find out
this is not even for you or that you expected to
06:32earn more or something like that. So do not do
that until you've actually tried some of the
06:37tasks. That's my advice anyways. And then before we
go over the earning potential and how you can get
06:42paid, let's also talk about these Remotasks
tiers because they have different membership
06:46levels that will also affect your earnings. So you
can see that Remotasks has a tier program inside
06:53the platform. You can see there is a tab that's
called Remotasks tiers and this is where you can
06:57go and read more about it. And you can see some of
the benefits currently as of recording this video
07:02anyways, the benefits are involved around giving
you access to my work because some people are
07:07frustrated there's not more work. And if you get a
higher level of membership here, you can see that
07:13there are some benefits there that you get faster
access to support and you get the easy access to
07:20a different tasks and things like this. So that
can of course affect your earnings. But you can
07:25see, you do not have to do anything as such to join
it. Every time you do tasks, you will automatically
07:30actually earn these different points, you will
earn these Remo points and then you can move
07:35up to the different tiers. You start at Standard and
then you can go to Preferred and the highest one
07:39is Elite. And you can see each week you will have
these XP gold and you will earn XP points and if
07:46you earn 3500 XP points in one week which just
not easy. That will take quite a bit of effort
07:51then you will earn one Remo point. And you see you
need four Remo points in five weeks to move from
07:57standard to Preferred. And then here 20 remember
points in the last seven weeks to move from
08:02preferred to Elite here. So that will take quite
a bit of patience. So it's not super easy to move
08:10up but it is possible but this will just happen
automatically if you are active in here and then
08:16it can be worth keeping an eye on it, do a few more
tasks if you can see that you're close because it
08:21does give some benefits. But let's now then talk
about how can you get paid and how much can you
08:25earn because that's of course super important to
know. So when you earn, you will get the money into
08:32your Remotasks account and then you can get
paid via PayPal and Airtm. So good ways to get paid
08:39and it also means that you have an option, even if
you don't have access to PayPal, for example because in
08:44some countries that's not possible some people
also just don't like PayPal. Then you do have an
08:49alternative. And also you need to be aware that
they process the payments, you can see, they do
08:55that once a week there. And they do not have any
minimum requirements. You do not need to earn a
09:01specific amount before you can actually get paid.
So that's of course really nice but how much can
09:06you then earn well that is of course depending
on the different tasks and also your membership
09:11level and the trainings you go through, But when
you first start, you should expect sometimes to
09:17do like you know a thousand of different small
tasks to earn you know a few dollars. It can take
09:22a lot of patience. This is not super easy. That's
in general how it is with a different tasks like
09:29this where you help train Ai and draw boxes and
do annotations, do all these different things. In
09:34most cases, you need a lot of patience. Yes if
you're patient, you can start building it up
09:39and then eventually get better earnings access to
higher paying tasks. But in general, when you first
09:46start it will be very low value for your time
because you also first need to invest quite a
09:50lot of time in training that you do not get paid
for. So if you're looking for something where you
09:55can earn a good amount of money per hour, then
this will not be. This is just for you if
10:01you like this type of task and are okay with
working for a quite low salary in my opinion.
10:07So overall, Remotasks is a legit platform you
can actually earn by doing these small data into
10:13tasks and help train Ai. And if you like that
kind of job, then it definitely can be a way to
10:20earn. However, it will take patience you need to
first invest some time in unpaid training and
10:25even when you get access to the paid task, it will
take quite a lot of patience to just earn a few
10:30dollars. And if you're okay with that, then this
might be a good platform for you. But if you're
10:34expecting more or if you're expecting a platform
where you can start earning right away without
10:39any unpaid training, then this is not for you. But
