Getting Started​

1. Install Monica Browser Extension​

First, you need to install the Monica browser extension. Once installed, you can use the webpage summarization feature.

2. Access via Chat Box​

  • Open any webpage, click the book icon in the Monica chat box
  • In the pop-up options, choose "Summarize this webpage" or "Chat with this webpage"
  • If you choose "Chat with this webpage", you can enter questions in the chat box to inquire about the webpage content in depth

3. Access via Chat Skill Bar​

  • Click the "All" option in the chat skill bar
  • Find and select "Chat with webpage" in the expanded list
  • Choose mode: "Current webpage" or "More webpages"
  • Click the "Summarize" button to start summarizing, or enter questions in the chat box to inquire about the webpage content

4. Access via PowerUP Kit​

  • Click the PowerUP Kit button in the Monica icon area at the bottom right of any webpage
  • Click the book icon in the toolkit panel to summarize the current webpage

5. View Summary Results and Interact​

  • After summarization is complete, you can view the generated key points
  • Click on each point to locate the corresponding position in the original text for further reading and understanding
  • If you chose the "Chat with this webpage" mode, you can continue asking questions to explore the webpage content in depth

Usage Tips​

  • In the chat skill bar, click "All" and find the "Chat with webpage" skill. Drag to change its order. Placing it at the front will display it directly above the chat box for quick access
  • In the PowerUP Kit, click the wrench icon next to the summary button to pin it to the Monica icon area for one-click summarization
  • Use the "More webpages" mode to summarize multiple related pages simultaneously for quick information comparison
  • Try different types of questions, such as overview, comparison, analysis, etc., to comprehensively understand the webpage content
  • Combine summary and Q&A functions: first get an overview, then ask in-depth questions about points of interest
